ART & CRAFT
The
arts programme at PSI introduces children to a variety of art materials
and techniques during the weekly lessons. Art is integrated in the
classroom with other subjects at every opportunity. Students' work is
displayed throughout the school and in the annual art exhibition to
encourage expression
and creative development. In the elementary classes, students' art work
is accumulated in a personal art folder. Needle craft includes
knitting, crochet and embroidery and is offered to students from Class
III upwards.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
This consists of exercise, ball games, team games,
and athletics. Emphasis is laid on the social aspects such as teamwork,
fair play and sportsman spirit. The Physical Education programme
includes two/three games periods per week and a 1½ hour session once a
week in the afternoon.
PSI has facilities on the premises for coaching students by a fully
trained instructor in basketball, table tennis, badminton and other ball
games. Indoor games like chess, checkers, carom board and scrabble are a
substitute for rainy days. Other activities like cricket, hiking and
swimming vary from year to year. Sports teams are organized on the basis
of school houses and the
culmination of year long sports activity is the Annual Sports Day, also
called the 'Fathers' Day', which is held at the Islamabad Sports

Honour -to promote a healthy spirit of competition. Each house has a
member of the cat family as its symbol - the tiger for Courage, the
leopard for Endeavour and the lion for Honour. Sports and curriculum
related competitions, assessment results and elections to the Students'
Council are held on a house - wise basis.
